While we focused the Jamstik Connect app on being a utility, that left many features that were at the heart of the experience we wanted to bring with the Jamstik. Identifiying our target customers and their intentions helped solidify how we could sort out what specific features we wanted for what experience. It also helped that some of these features included a large amount of storage-heavy video and audio files, so there was some practical reasoning for splitting them up too. It didn’t make sense to have somebody download a large app for learning guitar when they just wanted to connect and play.
